GUATEMALA CITY — CHICHICASTENANGO After breakfast, transfer to Chichicastenango, the most colourful and picturesque open-air market in Guatemala.  Every Thursday and Sunday locals from the region gather to buy and sell fruits, vegetables, flowers, grains, animals, textiles and handicrafts.  Visit the Church of Santo Tomas and spend the afternoon at leisure. Dinner and overnight at your hotel.

CHICHICASTENANGO — LAKE ATITLÁN After breakfast, depart for Sololá, where you will visit the indigenous market. Sololá is still one of the few villages from the highlands where people proudly wear their traditional clothes. In the afternoon, continue to Lake Atitlán, one of the most beautiful in the world. Dinner and overnight at your hotel.

LAKE ATITLÁN — ANTIGUA  Enjoy breakfast at the hotel and transfer from Lake Atitlán to the colonial city of Antigua.  Stepping foot in Antigua is like stepping back in time, with its cobblestone streets, sprays of Bougainvillea bursting from crumbling ruins, pastel façades under terracotta roofs and parks with fountains. It is also a dramatic setting surrounded by three volcanoes; Agua, Fuego and Acatenango.  Dinner and overnight at your hotel.

ANTIGUA — GUATEMALA CITY  Enjoy breakfast before visiting the most interesting sites: churches, convents, monasteries and other colonial buildings.  After lunch (not included) transfer back to Guatemala City.  Dinner and overnight at your hotel.

GUATEMALA CITY — COBÁN Breakfast at the hotel! This morning you will drive through the states of El Progreso, Baja Verapaz and Alta Verapaz before arriving at the Biotopo del Quetzel, which was created for the protection of the Quetzal, the national bird; in danger of extinction. Given its location and wooded area, it presents varied fauna and flora in which you can find everything from Hummingbirds to Orioles. Continue your visit at Orquigonia, a private nature reserve dedicated to the conservation of orchids.  In the afternoon proceed to Cobán.  Check into your hotel, enjoy dinner and overnight

COBÁN Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. This morning visit Semuc Champey, a 300m long, natural forming, limestone bridge that the Cahabon River passes under!  On top of the bridge are seven turquoise blue water pool.  Transfer back to your hotel for dinner and overnight

COBÁN — COPÁN   Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before beginning your journey to Copán, Honduras, one of the most impressive archaeological sites in the Mayan world, also declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site! Copán has a sophisticated architectural style with numerous stone monuments, structures and pyramids, surrounded by the rain-forest and neighbouring mountains.  Dinner and overnight at your hotel.

COPÁN — RIO DULCE  After breakfast return to Guatemalan territory to visit the archaeological site of Quirigua, covering approximately 3km² along the lower Motagua River, sharing its architectural and sculptural styles with the city of Copán.  In the afternoon proceed to Rio Dulce.  Check into your hotel for dinner and overnight.

RIO DULCE — TIKAL  Breakfast at your hotel.  This morning enjoy a water transfer to Livingston and the Castillo de San Felipe, a Spanish colonial fort. This afternoon transfer by land to Tikal, an ancient Mayan citadel in the .

TIKAL  Today you will journey to Ceibal, an archaeological site of the Mayan civilization, for sightseeing! This afternoon journey back to Tikal for dinner and overnight.

TIKAL — GUATEMALA CITY  Spend time exploring the archaeological site of Tikal! In the afternoon board your flight back to Guatemala City.  Dinner and overnight at your hotel.

GUATEMALA CITY — TORONTO   Enjoy breakfast at your hotel before checking out.  You will be transferred to the airport for your home-bound flight.
