TORONTO — LIMA  Depart from Toronto to Lima; welcome, private transfer and check into your hotel.

LIMA  Breakfast at your hotel. Today, enjoy a memorable day in the captivating capital of Peru. Lima was founded in 1535 and was once the capital of Spain’s South American empire for 300 years; it is also known as the City of Kings. Enjoy your private city tour featuring the Plaza Mayor, the Government Palace, the 17th-Century Baroque Cathedral and Church of San Francisco and the Palacio de Torre Tagle, Lima’s most elegant colonial mansion. Also visit the Larco Hererra Museum. Enjoy the rest of your day at leisure.

CUZCO & RUINS  Breakfast. Private transfer to the airport to board your flight to Cuzco. Upon arrival, private transfer to your hotel. In the afternoon, meet your guide at your hotel to begin your half-day private tour of Cuzco including the surrounding ruins. Cuzco is a charming city whose Inca and Spanish roots are evidenced today by its terra-cotta roofs and cobblestone streets. Visitors to this Inca fortress are impressed by the beauty and monumental scale of this Inca construction. Your visit includes Sacsayhuaman, Puka Pukara and Tambomachay, an ancient ritual bath location. Return to your hotel.

MACHU PICCHU Breakfast. Transfer to the train station to begin your journey to Machu Picchu. Board the Vistadome train, surrounded entirely by glass, the panoramic windows offer incomparable scenic views of the impressive landscape. Upon arrival, your private guide will take you to the majestic citadel; tour the terraces, corridors, temples and ancient winding streets to further understand the brilliance of the Incas. After your tour, return by train to Cuzco.

SACRED VALLEY  Breakfast. Enjoy a full-day private tour of the Sacred Valley of the Incas including the colonial town of Písac and the ruins of Ollantaytambo, a well reserved Inca site in the Urubamba Valley. Following lunch, return to Cuzco.

CUZCO — SAN PEDRO DE ATACAMA Breakfast. Private transfer to the Cuzco airport to board your flight to Calama. Welcome and transfer to San Pedro de Atacama. Check into the luxurious Alto Atacama Desert Lodge & Spa for the next three nights, the perfect base for exploring the desert. In the afternoon, we suggest you rest and  adjust to the high altitude (8,000 feet above sea level). Be sure to enjoy an evening drink while watching the sunset.

SAN PEDRO DE ATACAMA  For the next two days, choose from many included excursions available through the hotel. Perhaps visit the Tatio Geyers to enjoy an easy walk along the geothermal field to observe fumaroles, springs and local fauna. Experience the clarity of Atacama evening skies with the naked eye or make use of the hotel’s telescopes to explore our galaxy.

SAN PEDRO DE ATACAMA – SANTIAGO  Breakfast at the hotel. Private transfer back to Calama to board your flight to Santiago. Upon arrival, private transfer to your hotel.

SANTIAGO  After breakfast, take a private city tour of Santiago featuring the Palacio de la Moneda, the Plaza de Armas and the bustling Mercado Central. Ascend to the top of the city for dramatic panoramic views. Spend the rest of your day exploring on your own.

SANTA RITA WINERY  Breakfast. Travel to the Santa Rita Winery, for a tour through the winery’s first cellar, including a tasting of Reserva and Gran Reserva Wine with a delicious lunch included at Dona Paula located in the colonial house of the winery. Return to Santiago.

SANTIAGO – TORONTO  Enjoy breakfast at your hotel.  In the afternoon, transfer to the airport for your flight to Lima and board your overnight flight home to Toronto.
